Hamas has announced Yahya Sinwar’s appointment as chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau. Sinwar will replace Ismail Haniyeh, who has been assassinated.
Earlier, The New York Times, citing its sources, reported that more than 20 people were arrested in Iran in connection with the murder of Haniyeh.
