Biden not confident of peaceful transition if Trump loses presidential election
U.S. President Joe Biden has said he is not confident there will be a peaceful transition of power if Donald Trump loses the presidential election in November, the BBC writes.
In his first interview since he dramatically dropped out of the race last month, Mr Biden told CBS News: “Trump means what he says, we don’t take him seriously.”
Trump’s comment that it would “be a bloodbath for the country” if he loses the election, triggered a wave of criticism.
After this statement, Democrats were quick to reiterate their campaign message that the former president poses a threat to democracy.
The Trump campaign, however, said the comment had been deliberately taken out of context.
