Samvel Shahramanyan: Unfortunately, Artsakh is lost today, but the issue of our return remains on our agenda

Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan visited Yerablur, where he answered journalists’ questions.

Sept․ 2 is the day of the declaration of the Republic of Artsakh. Օn this occasion, Samvel Shahramanyan, the president of Artsakh, visited Yerablur.

“Unfortunately, Artsakh is lost today. We used to celebrate this day as a holiday, but today is a day of bitterness. We hope we will be able to return to our Homeland. This issue is always on our agenda; a committee headed by Vardan Oskanyan has been created by the National Assembly of Artsakh to handle the issue. We are discussing issues related to the possible return. There are many options and suggestions.

The people of Artsakh have a great desire to return, to build their Homeland, to make Artsakh Armenian, but we must be ready, and our return will be possible under international guarantees, dignified, fair, and most importantly, we must feel safe in our Homeland. If these standards are met, we are also ready to negotiate for a quick resolution of these issues,” Shahramanyan said.
