Acting President of Artsakh National Assembly Gagik Baghunts issued a statement regarding Alen Simonyan’s statements:
“Responding to RA NA President A. Simonyan’s announcement made today about the dissolution of the inter-parliamentary commission, I would first like to quote Mark Twain, “The reports of my (Artsakh NA) death are greatly exaggerated.”
Regarding the activities of the National Assembly of Artsakh after the ethnic cleansing that took place in September 2023, I should mention that the officials/deputies of the National Assembly of Artsakh, having received the vote of the people of Artsakh for a period of five years, continue to be responsible for the fate of Artsakh Armenians in the current situation and make all possible efforts to ensure their collective return under security guarantees.
P.S. 1. As for the dissolution of the inter-parliamentary commission, there are certain appropriate mechanisms for this.
P.S. 2 By the way, the activities and relations of the inter-parliamentary and friendship groups of the Artsakh National Assembly continue with the parliamentarians and groups in France, Cyprus, Greece, Belgium and other countries.”
