Representatives of the military-diplomatic corps of China, Turkey, the U.K., the U.S., and other Western countries participated in the military drills of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kyrgyzstan, the joint press center of the drills told TASS. About 1,500 soldiers and up to 300 units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved in the drills.
The Cooperation-2024 military drills of the CSTO countries are scheduled for Sept. 3 to Sept. 15.
The units of the armed forces of the CSTO member states, namely Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan, and the operative groups of the organization’s secretariat and joint headquarters, are taking part in the drills.
The Armenian side had informed the CSTO that it did not plan to participate in the drills.
