Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made his first foreign visit to Iraq. The president and his delegation were received by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid at Al Salam Palace in Baghdad, Iraqi Shafaq news agency reported.
Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Baghdad on Sept. 11 at the official invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani.
During the visit, Pezeshkian and Al Sudani will follow the ceremony of signing a number of memorandums of understanding in various fields of cooperation between the two countries.
The president of Iran also plans to visit Najaf, Basra and Kurdistan province.
