Azerbaijan is now working on launching communication links through the territory of Iran, Aykhan Hajizada, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said.
According to him, Armenia distorts the tripartite statement of Nov. 10, 2020. “This causes regret. Point 9 of this document contains specific obligations to open communications. If Armenia insists on its current stance, Azerbaijan has alternative options. One of them is the opening of communications through the territory of Iran. In this regard, relevant work is being done. If Armenia continues the policy of self-isolation, it will be its own choice. But it will not bring them any benefit,” Hajizada said.
