The condition of Artur Ayvazyan, an employee of the criminal investigation department of the Armavir regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is stable, Spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior Narek Sargsyan told ABC media.
“The injured police officer was taken to hospital. His condition continues to remain stable, but there is a positive dynamic,” Sargsyan said.
The police officer underwent surgery on Sept. 8.
To remind, on Sept. 7, Manuk Margaryan, a 41-year-old resident of the Nalbandyan community of Armavir Province, went out armed. He shot at police officers. During the neutralization of the armed man, the operational police captain Hayrapet Stepanyan of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Armavir Division was killed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
