European Commission comes forth with new option to freeze Russia’s Central Bank assets

The European Commission presented three new options for extending the term of freezing the assets of Russia’s Central Bank with the aim of providing further aid to Ukraine in the amount of $50 billion, Reuters reports, citing its sources.

The news agency notes that one of the options considered by the European Commission implies extending the period of asset freezing for five years, with a review of the situation every 12 months.
