Peskov: The Kremlin does not agree with Pashinyan; The CSTO does not pose a threat to Armenia’s sovereignty

The Kremlin strongly disagrees with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding his opinion about the CSTO, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.

“We must categorically disagree with Mr. Pashinyan. Armenia’s sovereignty can in no way be threatened by the CSTO. On the contrary, this organization preserves the sovereignty of its member states. But we will patiently bring this stance to the attention of the Armenian leadership,” Peskov said.

He added that Russia continues and will continue contacts with Armenia; it is a close partner of the country.
