Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the participation of Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan in the forum on food security on the margins of the Ukraine Peace Resolution in an online format.
“Recently, such amazing news has been coming. Taking into account that we inform Armenia regularly, Armenia is aware of our approaches, and such things are based on realistic assessments. We thought that they understand that such meetings held among themselves have nothing to do with political settlement or peace establishment. As we can see, not everyone understands this.”
She added that if people are interested in food security, they should proceed from the same food situation in their country. Zakharova reminded Armen Grigoryan that 90% of the grains that go to Armenia are bought from Russia. “Perhaps it is necessary to communicate with Russia in an online format on the issue of food security?” Why engage in machinations behind the backs of those who feed you and ensure your food security?” Zakharova noted.
