Iran and Russia close to gas contract conclusion
Iran and Russia are close to signing a gas contract, Iranian Minister Energy Abbas Aliabadi told Izvestiya. At the same time, the Russian side has not yet confirmed the holding of specific negotiations. Tehran also noted the interest of Russian companies in Iranian oil projects and the existence of solid foundations for cooperation with Moscow in the field of nuclear industry.
Spokesperson for the Russian president Dmitry stated that trade and economic relations between Russia and Iran are developing in all spheres, including trade.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, for his part, has arrived in Iran on an official visit, where he will hold talks with the leadership of the republic.
“It is planned to consider the whole range of issues of Russian-Iranian trade,economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the implementation of large joint projects in the fields of transport, industry, energy, education, etc.,” reads the message.
