High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell called on EU countries to allow Ukraine to use Western weapons to attack launch pads and airports located on the territory of Russia. Borrell wrote about this in his weekly blog.
“I will note again that Ukraine needs to be allowed to strike Russian airports and launch pads with Western weapons. Let Ukraine hurt the archers, not just the arrows. Not all EU countries agree with this proposal, but we have promised to support Ukraine as much as it needs, and the energy front will become key this winter,” Borrell said.
