High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that during his tenure, the EU has taken a number of important steps to become a “geopolitical, not just a commercial player.”
In an interview with 20 Minutos, Borrell called the 14 package of sanctions against Russia one of his main achievements. He said the EU approved that package in order to punish “Putin’s military machine.”
