U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a telephone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said on X live broadcast.
“They talked about the importance of implementing U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, which would allow civilians to return to their homes in Lebanon and Israel,” Miller noted.
He noted that the parties discussed the currently deadlocked efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
