Hezbollah’s new leader Hashem Safieddine killed in Israeli strike

Hashem Safieddine, the successor of Hasan Nasrallah as the leader of Hezbollah, was killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Oct. 4, Al Arabiya reports.

As noted, Safieddine was killed in Beirut. The IDF hit the bunker where Safieddine was with his assistants and other Hezbollah commanders.

Earlier, citing the sources of the Lebanese security forces, Reuters reported that contact with Hashem Safieddine had been lost since Oct. 4, when the Israeli Air Force struck Beirut.
