Tatoyan: Nerkin Hand is surrounded on 3 sides by more than 2 dozen Azerbaijani armed positions
Nerkin Hand is a village of Armenia’s Kapan community, which is surrounded on three sides by more than two dozen Azerbaijani armed positions, only here 2,700 hectares are occupied from the territory of Armenia, former Human Rights Defender of Armenia (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan wrote.
“We have documented additional facts of Azerbaijani crimes against the residents of Nerkin Hand: thousands of tree fellings and dozens of kilometers of military roads being built in Armenia’s ‘Shikahogh’ state reserve, many mines placed (on the example of 2 positions in Azerbaijan), depriving residents of drinking water, armed positions in the immediate vicinity of civilian houses and etc.
Azerbaijan is holding the COP29 environment-related event, while it is destroying Armenia’s environment. These facts should be presented on world platforms as much as possible to show Azerbaijan’s real intentions and crimes,” Tatoyan wrote.
