Levon Aronian becomes winner of Fischer rapid chess tournament

Levon Aronian has emerged as the champion of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour Fischer rapid chess tournament, the Armenian Chess Federation states.

In the final two games, Aronian defeated American Hans Niemann 1.5 – 0.5.

Throughout the tournament, Aronian also achieved impressive victories over Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Arjun Erigaisi.

The prize fund for the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Las Vegas is $750,000, with the winner receiving $200,000.
