No priest, no wedding at Saghmosavank

Couples who had come to Saghmosavank Monastery for their wedding ceremony were left searching for a priest. They were uncertain whether the priest was late, how long they should wait, and whether the ceremony would take place at all.

Father Paren has officiated at the weddings of thousands of couples; Never had a wedding been canceled because of him or his spiritual brothers. This was the first time.

The priest of Saghmosavank was deeply upset by the incident and promised to baptize the couples’ future children.
