Hovhannes Aivazovsky’s “Moonlit Night” was sold at the Moscow auction house, RIA Novosti reports.
The seascape of Constantinople, drawn by Aivazovsky in 1878, was the gem of the auction and was sold at 92 million rubles.
“Auction Holding” reported earlier that this work by Aivazovsky would go up for auction for 100 million rubles.
