Arsen Babayan: People of Artsakh are given calls and asked to present themselves to the Criminal Police for “participating in anti-state rallies”

A lieutenant colonel from the Criminal Police called an Artsakhi and asked him to go to the police station for questioning for allegedly participating in anti-state rallies, lawyer Arsen Babayan told ABC media.

“We became aware that some Lt. Col. Grigoryan calls people from Artsakh, asking them to present themselves to the Criminal Police. The Artsakhi asked him the reason for the questioning, and he said the reason for that is his participation in anti-state rallies,” Babayan noted.

The lawyer urged the police not to call Artsakhis and not to ask them to present themselves to the police department for, as the police say, participating in anti-state rallies.

“We know one real anti-state phenomenon; if you have decided to deal with anti-state issues, then deal with the real issue. Don’t do such a thing again,” Babayan said.
