Rev. Fr. Aram Mirzoyan: Nothing  us from greeting a bright dawn

Today, our state is more precious than anything else, and the protection of the state and statehood should become a part of everyone’s life and goal, Rev. Fr. Aram Mirzoyan told ABCmedia.

“The First Republic was formed in difficult conditions; the Artsakh liberation war was not easy either, considering that a devastating earthquake struck us in 1988; this is the secret of our nation’s resilience; some people think it’s all over, but we say we are just beginning.

After almost 600 years without statehood, the Armenian people were able to keep the desire to have a state in their hearts; they were able to proclaim the First Republic even after the hard days of the Genocide. This is a special holiday for us and has great significance and power in it,” he said.

As regards the visit to Sardarapat Memorial, Rev. Fr. Aram noted that yesterday it had already been announced that they would go to Sardarapat to celebrate the Independence Day of the First Republic of Armenia and would stay there.

“Many of our compatriots joined us and spent the night here. The night was quite difficult because of the weather, but that did not prevent us from greeting a bright dawn thanks to our interesting, glorious young people,” he said.
