France and Armenia share a common history and are linked with historical bonds. We should sustain our friendship and promote our relations in the field of defense, French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu made a twitter post on this with regard to the visit of Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan.
The French Minister also noted that the visit of the Armenian Minister of Defense also marked a momentous occasion. By decree of French President Emmanuel Macron, the remains of the French Resistance fighter, French national hero Missak Manouchian will be reinterred in the Panthéon in Paris.
