Former Azerbaijani ambassador to UK sexually assaults 3 staff members of rehabilitation clinic

Former Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Rafael Ibrahimov sexually assaulted three staff members on his first day at a rehabilitation clinic in Cheshire, Northwich Guardian writes.

Rafael Ibrahimov, of Knightsbridge, London, was at the clinic for treatment for an addiction to sleeping tablets.

On Friday, Feb. 7, Chester Crown Court heard he was drunk, abusive, and aggressive on his arrival at the clinic on Dec. 5, 2023.

Prosecuting, Joshua Gorst said he sexually assaulted three of the staff.

Mr Gorst said, “He was telling them that they were pretty ladies and he was telling them that he loved them.”

Ibrahimov, who has also served as an ambassador to Norway and Sweden, pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault and one count of attempted sexual assault last year.
