Israel going to strike Iran’s nuclear sites, says CNN

Israel is going to strike Iran’s nuclear infrastructure despite ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran, CNN writes, citing sources within the U.S. administration.

“In recent months, the likelihood of Israel carrying out strikes against Iran’s nuclear targets has increased significantly, and the prospects of a U.S.-Iran agreement—under which Tehran would not give up all its uranium—are raising the chances of such an attack,” a senior official told the TV channel.

Sources are uncertain whether Israeli authorities have made a final decision to launch an attack, and U.S. intelligence has not explicitly confirmed Israel’s intentions. Indicators of preparations include movements and maneuvers of Israel’s Air Force’s equipment and weapons. At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that Israel is demonstrating its military strength to pressure Iran into making serious concessions regarding its nuclear program.
