Europe has decided to play the role of a commander, establishing friendship from Ukraine to Armenia and Azerbaijan, says Pravda.ru

While the European Union is fighting inflation and seeking ways to save money, Brussels has decided not to waste time on minor details and has immediately shifted its focus to tough measures in geopolitics. However, the gap between plans and their implementation is enormous, Pravda.ru columnist Dmitry Plotnikov writes.

According to Plotnikov, the EU is initiating a broad Black Sea strategy aimed at making Russia’s life as difficult as possible in the region, while, as always, hiding behind words like “stability,” “prosperity,” and “infrastructure development.”

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas claims that “security in the Black Sea is vital for European security.”

Additionally, the EU is planning to develop energy corridors, digital infrastructure, coastal community resilience, and more. At the same time, they aim to warm relations with Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Overall, it’s about forming a strong alliance in the style of “only not with Russia.”

“Europe has decided to play the role of a commander again. True, not everything on the map matches up yet: from the desire to impose ‘geopolitical shackles’ on Russia to real pressure on it, a road worth tens of billions of euros, several thousand kilometers and at least one winter without gas,” the author writes.
