Iran’s parliament discusses exiting Non-Proliferation Treaty
It is time for Iran to withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), stated Ebrahim Rezaei, a senior official of Iran’s Majlis National Security Committee and a member of parliament, according to the news agency Fars.
The official noted that the Non-Proliferation Treaty was supposed to guarantee Iran’s security, rather than serve as a reason for its absence.
“Now is the right time to withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” Rezaei stated.
