Israel defense forces strike Syrian Army units
Today, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched strikes against Syrian Army units, according to a video posted on the IDF website.
The video shows images of military equipment, including strikes on moving transport vehicles.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement declaring that they had ordered the Israeli army to target Syrian Army units that had entered the city of Suwayda, following clashes with the minority Druze community.
The Druze are an Arab-speaking ethnoreligious group whose members live in Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. Yesterday, Katz stated that Israel is determined to protect the Druze minority community.
