2 cities in Iran fall under opposition control

The situation in Iran remains tense. Local media report that opposition supporters who took to the streets in protest against the depreciation of the national currency have managed to establish control over two cities in western Iran — Abdanan and Malekshahi.

“It is a real celebration in the cities,” opposition sources write.
