US State Department urges its citizens to leave Iran via Armenia or Turkey

The US Department of State has urged US citizens to leave Iran via Armenia or Turkey.

In a statement, the department said airlines continue to limit or cancel flights to and from Iran, with some suspending services until Friday, Jan. 16. US citizens are advised to expect further internet disruptions, plan alternative means of communication, and, if it is safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land through Armenia or Turkey.
