US State Department: We have no reason to believe that Israel was involved in the explosion in Iran

The U.S. was not involved in the explosion in Iran and has no reason to say that Israel was involved in it. Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said this at a press briefing.

“With respect to the explosions in Iran today, what I’ll say: We have been following the reports rather closely. We don’t have any independent information to offer on them. We do express our sympathies to the victims and their loved ones who died in this horrific explosion,” Miller said.

He noted that any suggestion to the contrary is ridiculous. “We have no reason to believe that Israel was involved in this explosion,” he added.

To remind, yesterday, two explosions occurred in the cemetery of the city of Kerman, Iran. Hundreds were killed and injured as a result.
