The State Department has notified Congress of its approval of a $23 billion sale of F-16 fighter jets and related equipment to Turkey, The New York Times writes.
According to the State Department and the Pentagon, this came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the documents allowing Sweden’s membership in NATO.
