NATO not seeing threat of nuclear weapon use by Russia
NATO does not see an immediate threat of nuclear weapons’ use by Russia, Deputy Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoană said.
“We see no immediate threat that Russia would use these weapons,” Geoană said in an interview to the Spanish newspaper Pais.
As he noted, the statements of the Russian authorities “are rather dangerous, as they undermine trust”.
Earlier, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller stated that the U.S. does not see any signs of Russia’s possible use of nuclear weapons.
