Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will head the Iranian delegation at the 79th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York.
The Iranian president will fly to New York on Sept. 22. On Sept. 24, he will make a speech at the General Assembly, during which he will “express the point of view of the entire Iranian people”.
Besides the speech at the U.N. General Assembly, it is planned that the president will attend the Summit of the Future, have meetings with representatives of the Iranian diaspora in the U.S., media representatives, and also hold talks with the heads of state of several countries.
The main event of the 79th session of the U.N. General Assembly will be the high-level discussions, which will take place on Sept. 24-30, with a break on Sept. 29. Dozens of ministers and heads of state are expected to attend the summit.
In addition, the Summit of the Future will be held on Sept. 22-23. It aims to build a new international consensus on how to achieve a better present and secure the future. Its main topics will be sustainable development and finance, peace and security, the digital future and global governance.
