Victims, destroyed houses, and 1.5 million houses left without electricity: Florida hit by Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton, which hit Florida, has destroyed 125 houses, NBC News reports, citing Kevin Guthrie, the executive director of the state Division of Emergency Management.
“We are receiving information about 125 destroyed houses,” Guthrie said.
Power supply was cut off in about 1.5 million houses in Florida. Infrastructure has been damaged. According to preliminary reports, two people were killed.
Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida on Oct. 10. First, a natural disaster occurred in the isolated area of Siesta Key in Sarasota County on Florida’s west coast. Wind gusts reached 57 m/s (205 km/h) in the area of the storm.
