French President Emmanuel Macron has reminded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel was created by the decision of the United Nations, Parisien writes.<\/p>\n
The comment was made at a closed session of the Council of Ministers, after the Israeli ambassador was summoned to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
Macron noted that Israel appeared in 1948 by the decision of the U.N. General Assembly.<\/p>\n
“Mr. Netanyahu should not forget that his country was created by the decision of the United Nations, and therefore he should not violate the decrees of the United Nations,” the French president noted.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Macron announced that France demands that Israel end hostilities as soon as possible.
