Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that
\nnothing, not even international pressure, will force Israel to stop the war
\nagainst the Palestinian radical movement Hamas.

He stated that Israel will continue the military operations
\nuntil the elimination of Hamas.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen stated, in turn, that the
\nwar will continue “with or without international support”.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“A ceasefire at this stage would mean a gift to the
\nterrorist organization Hamas and would allow them to return and threaten the
\npeople of Israel,” he said.
<\/p><\/p>\n
To remind, a few days ago, the U.N. General Assembly adopted
\na resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The resolution was passed by 153 votes to 10, with 23
\nabstentions. Thus, after a vote on the same issue in November, 32 countries
\nchanged their position and joined the countries calling for a ceasefire.
