The National Assembly has ratified the much-discussed Rome
\nStatute. What does the statute suggest, and what consequences may it have for
\nArmenia? In 2004, the Constitutional Court of Armenia held that the statute was
\npartially unconstitutional. However, on March 28, 2023, the Constitutional Court
\nrevisited its 2004 decision. On Sept. 13, 2023, in a question and answer
\nsession with the Government, Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly
\nthat Armenia was going to fully ratify the ICC Rome Statute. In fact, this was
\ndone today.
