The Rome Statute has been ratified by the National Assembly
\nof Armenia with 60 votes in favor and 22 against. The Opposition voted against
\nits ratification.

The Constitutional Court of Armenia had earlier held that
\nthe obligations arising from the Rome Statute adopted on July 17, 1988, did not
\ncontravene the RA Constitution. In 2022, the RA government applied to the
\nConstitutional Court in this regard. Later, the executive referred the Rome
\nStatute to the Parliament for ratification.
