Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that the recent release of Russia’s updated nuclear doctrine is a response measure, and NATO should think about it.<\/p>\n
“I believe that Russia’s stance is primarily a response to the behavior directed against it. This step taken by Russia should be discussed by NATO officials,” the Turkish leader noted.<\/p>\n
According to Erdogan, Russia has the force and means to defend itself.<\/p>\n
“We must defend ourselves and take measures for our protection in the same way. Ukraine and Russia are our neighbors, and we must maintain our relations with them.
