The verdict on Avetik Chalabyan’s case will be announced on
\nDec. 21. The presiding judge said this in the courtroom. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p><\/p>\n

“The whole process is politicized. You can see that the
\npunishment depends on the ban on my political activity. The prosecutor said
\nthey will try to secure a verdict, forbidding me to organize or attend
\ngatherings, or to engage in political activities,” Chalabyan said after the
\ncourt hearing.

<\/p><\/p>\n

According to Chalabyan, the prosecution has not been able to
\nprove him guilty.

<\/p><\/p>\n

He is charged with offering bribes to the student government
\npresident of Armenian National Agrarian University in exchange for participating
\nin Opposition protests and performing certain actions.
