Mass protests took place in Tbilisi on Thursday evening, following the country’s prime minister’s statement about withdrawing from European integration.<\/p>\n
The protest taking place outside the Georgian Parliament has deviated from the norms established by the law on rallies and demonstrations, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The ministry described the protesters’ actions as something against the law.<\/p>\n
Despite calls from law enforcement, protesters are engaging in confrontations and insulting police officers. Additionally, various objects have been thrown at the police, resulting in injuries to 32 officers.<\/p>\n
According to Georgian media reports, law enforcement has used water cannons and tear gas; 43 people have been arrested.<\/p>\n
