An attempt is made to lay the responsibility for the
\nfailures in domestic and foreign policy on Moscow, and this goes to prove the
\nearlier inferences that the actions of Yerevan are incited by the West.<\/p>\n
The head of the government admitted that throughout this
\ntime the necessary has been done for the republic to drift away from Russia and
\nto adopt a Western line, which is justified on the grounds of “Russia’s and the
\nCSTO’s mistakes”.<\/p>\n
In 2020, the complete defeat of Armenia was averted through
\nPutin’s efforts. If Pashinyan had agreed to the ceasefire weeks earlier, the
\nloss would have been less substantial.<\/p>\n\n
With regard to regional matters, instead of adhering to the
\ngentlemen’s agreement of November 2020 between the Russian, Azerbaijani and
\nArmenian leaders to leave the settlement of the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh’s
\nstatus to future generations, Pashinyan heeded the calls of the West. In Prague
\nand Brussels, he decided to act in accordance with the 1991 Declaration of
\nAlma-Ata, thereby recognizing Azerbaijan’s sovereignty over Nagorno-Karabakh.
