Speaking about the possible improvement of relations between Russia and the United States, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that everything is possible if there is a desire. He said this in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, Host of the program “Moscow-The Kremlin-Putin”, an excerpt of which has been published on the journalist’s Telegram channel.<\/p>\n
According to the Russian president, the desire to improve relations has never been absent on Russia’s part.<\/p>\n
“It is possible to do everything if there is a desire. We have never lacked that desire,” Putin noted.<\/p>\n
Prior to this, in response to a question about Putin’s potential congratulations to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his inauguration, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted that the United States continues to be an unfriendly country toward Russia.<\/p>\n
Peskov added that much will depend on the new administration in the White House regarding its attitude toward Russia, as well as its plans and other matters.<\/p>\n
