The authorities of Iran are holding talks with the Syrian side on reopening the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Mehr<\/a> news agency writes, citing Iranian Government Spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani.<\/p>\n

“We are conducting diplomatic consultations to reopen the embassy in the country,” Mohajerani noted.<\/p>\n

The government spokeswoman also stressed the importance of preventing the “growth and development of terrorism” in Syria in order to ensure the security of both Syria and its neighboring states.<\/p>\n
