Pashinyan, who was urging people to flood the streets and squares of Armenia, had been injured by a Zarya grenade used by the police during the revolution in 2018, when he was crossing barbed wire on Baghramyan Avenue.<\/p>\n

Throughout Pashinyan’s years in power, the police did not heed his call: In 2024, Zarya grenades were once again deployed on Baghramyan Avenue—again near the National Assembly—as protesters attempted to block the building.<\/p>\n
