Arsen Harutyunyan has gained Armenia’s first qualification
\nin wrestling for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The 23-year-old wrestler won a bronze medal in the men’s
\nfreestyle 57 kg event in the 2023 World Wrestling Championships, held in
\nBelgrade, Serbia. The three-time European champion was competing against
\nMeirambek Kartbay, representing Kazakhstan. Harutyunyan convincingly beat
\nKartbay 11:0 ahead of time.

This was Harutyunyan’s third bronze medal in the world
\nchampionships and the first bronze in the Olympic weight category.
