During a meeting with Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed Tehran’s position that maintaining the territorial integrity of regional countries is a fundamental principle of Iran’s foreign policy, Armenpress<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

“Any change of borders in the region is completely unacceptable,” the Iranian president stated.<\/p>\n

It was noted that during the meeting, the participants also discussed issues related to the bilateral agenda between Iran and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

“We want to develop relations with neighboring countries and Islamic countries, as we believe that any dispute or rift among Muslims will only lead to external intervention,” the Iranian president stated.<\/p>\n
