Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has announced his decision to resign on Feb. 12, Digi24 reports.<\/p>\n
“In a few days, the Romanian parliament will vote in favor of my removal, and Romania will face a crisis. All these efforts will have consequences both within the country and, unfortunately, beyond its borders,” Iohannis said.<\/p>\n
According to the Romanian president, he is stepping down to protect Romania from the crisis, and unnecessary and negative developments.
