On Sept. 15, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan called a
\nmeeting, the Central Information Department of the President’s Office reports.<\/p>\n
The meeting addressed issues high on the agenda: the
\nsituation facing the republic caused by the total blockade by Azerbaijan and
\nthe possible mechanisms for handling it.<\/p>\n
“We must immediately redress people’s grievances, take all
\nnecessary measures to fight the rise in prices of agricultural products, bring
\nprices under control and fairly distribute the limited supplies that we have,”
\nthe president noted.<\/p>\n\n
Shahramanyan also referred to the problems regarding the
\ntransfer of civilians from Artsakh to Armenia under the supervision of the
\nRussian peacekeepers and the Red Cross. He noted that these operations should
\nbe conducted transparently, under close supervision and established procedures.
\nShahramanyan also highlighted the need for working groups to operate on the
\nground.
